Logan Airport is about eight miles from Boston University. A taxi to BU will cost $15.00 - $20.00 depending on traffic. To take the subway, take the Airport Shuttle Bus (which stops at all of the major terminals) to the Airport "T" station (Blue Line). Take the inbound train to Government Center. Change to the Green Line outbound, and follow additional MBTA directions below.
From South Station, take the red line train to Park Street Station and transfer to the Green Line Outbound. Follow the MBTA directions below.

Boston University is easily accessible by public transportation. The "B" branch of the MBTA Green Line passes through the campus along Commonwealth Avenue. The closest stop to the Biology Department is the "Blandford street" stop on the "B" branch of the Green Line, which is the first stop after Kenmore Square, going outbound. See the MBTA website for current fare and other public transportation information.
Directions to the "B" line are as follows:
By Red Line: Take the Red Line train to Park Street Station; transfer to the Green Line "B" Train.
By Blue Line (including Logan Airport):Take the Blue Line Train to Government Center; transfer to the Green Line "B" Train.
By Orange Line: Take the Orange Line Train to Downtown Crossing; follow the underground concourse to the Green Line Park Street Station, then board the "B" Train.
By Green Line:
Please note that traffic on I-93 through the city is extremely heavy during normal rush hours and construction makes the route difficult on non-rush hours as well. Please allow plenty of time to travel.

From the North: Take I-93 or Route 1 South to Boston. Exit onto Storrow Drive (Exit 26). Go west on Storrow Drive to the Kenmore Square exit, which exits to the left. Stay on the right side of exit ramp for Commonwealth Avenue. Follow the directions from Kenmore Square below.
From the West:Take the Massachusetts Turnpike to Exit 18 (Cambridge/Allston). After toll, follow the signs for Cambridge to the first set of lights. Turn right at the lights (do not cross over the bridge/Charles River) and travel of Soldiers Field Road/Storrow Drive to the Kenmore Square exit. Follow the directions from Kenmore Square below.
From the South or West (I-90): Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) East to Exit 18, Brighton/Cambridge. Exit left. Follow signs to Cambridge to the second set of lights. Turn right at the lights; this is Soldiers Field Road/Storrow Drive. Exit Storrow Drive at the Kenmore exit. Follow the directions from Kenmore Square below.
From the Nouth (I-93): Take Route 93/Route3 North to Boston. Exit onto Storrow Drive (Exit 26). Go west on Storrow Drive to the Kenmore Square exit, which exits to the left. Stay on the right side of exit ramp for Commonwealth Avenue. Follow the directions from Kenmore Square below.
From the North Shore/ Logan Airport: Take Route 1-A through the Sumner Tunnel. Follow signs onto the Expressway North (I-93). Take the Storrow Drive exit (Exit 26). Continue on Storrow Drive until the Kenmore exit (exit from left/center lane). Follow the directions from Kenmore Square below.

Turn right at the lights at the end of the exit ramp. Stay to the right to enter Bay State Road. From here, you can use the Online Campus Map to locate your final campus destination.
